Collectible Records

UPDATE

For a while I took this part of the site down for a while because some loser wrote me saying this page was arrogant. Actually, I don't even own a lot of these records. And sorry, I only spent a lot of time scanning them for everyone to see. How arrogant is that, Doyle? Most people will probably never find or be able to afford some of these records. I have re-linked the pages and here's a shortened version of the original text.

A few words on collecting... When something gets rare and expensive enough, someone will go to the effort to make fakes, selling them as originals. Don't pay high prices for stuff unless you know it is real. Grading is also important, and most sellers over-grade their records. "Mint" means it is like new. No tears, tape marks, ring wear, yellowing on the edges, etc - NEW. Hard to find records that actually are "Mint" do occasionally command very high prices but well-loved copies go for much less.

Please don't email me asking how much your records are worth. They're worth what you can get for them. And if you're buying, don't pay a price because it was what you saw in a price guide. Pay what the record is worth to YOU.
