THE GUITARS OF JOHNNY RAMONE
FIREGLO RICKENBACKER
The second Rickenbacker, the same model but finished in fireglo red with a white pickguard. It was "modified to accomodate today's rock 'n' roll sound" (Dimarzio pickup added). It was mainly used as a backup guitar.

Above:
The added pickup is mounted on a square piece of plastic that is Krazy-glued on. The bridge is nailed in place. This guitar is now owned by Chris Lamy.

The back-up guitar is only used for a short portion (1-3 songs) in the middle of the set, while the first guitar is being re-tuned, or if a string is broken. Here is the second (fireglow) Rickenbacker used on-stage.
