Ian, great site and info on Ramones gear !
I recently picked up a used JR Mosrite in Tokyo. I am not sure what I have. It isn't the current model, which says Ramones on the peghead but it's obviously a well-made guitar, with all the features of Johnny's white Mosrite. I was just surprised to see that, because of the tall roller bridge, the rear pickup is sitting far from the strings, even at its highest point, compromising the pickup's output. I was wondering if the original was the same. I kind of doubt it as Johnny wasn't exactly famous for his clean tone...
Would anybody happen to know? |
