I am one of the lucky few who own one of the early Ventures II models with the large pickguard and slab body with no german contour. I also own one of the early "Ramones" models that were made by Semie Moseley on Jonas Ridge, NC. I custom ordered mine and went in person to pick it up. When the Ramones came here I took it in for the sound check and Johnny signed the tags for me and when he saw it he was a little surprised to see another one. Anymore owners of the early Ventures II's please respond. I am trying to get an idea on how many people have one. Mosrite Forever!!! Dennis

I also have a Ventures II model. It is contoured and I purchased it in 1966 new. It is a great guitar and has the serial number stamped on the fretboard.

I purchased a Mosrite new in 1967. It looks exactly like the Ventures model only it says Mosrite of California on the head stock. The serial number is stamped on the fretboard. Is this a Ventures II model or a Mark l? The instrument needs signifncant restoration. Does anyone know who might do this type of work on Mosrites?
